Edible Arrangements Among Fastest Growing Firms in U.S.

The company, headquartered in Wallingford, made Inc. Magazine's list of the fastest growing companies in the country.

 

Once again this year , headquartered in Wallingford, has made Inc. Magazine’s list of the fastest growing companies in the country.

This is the 7th year in a row that the company, which creates and delivers fresh fruit arrangements, first made the magazine’s list in 2006 when it ranked 4th in the country out of 5,000 companies surveyed by Inc. that year. This year the firm ranked 4,096.

It was one of 64 Connecticut companies that made the list.

According the magazine’s business profile of Edible Arrangements, founded by Tariq Farid in 1999, the company has grown 22 percent in a three-year period, had total revenues of $23.5 million in 2011, employes 127 people and has added 39 jobs in the last three years.

According to Inc.’s list, it covers "America’s fastest growing companies, spanning 25 industries in all 50 states and metro areas,  ranging from Boston to San Diego. New York City had the most honorees, with 350, on the list, three more than runner-up Washington, D.C. While nearly half the winners had revenues between $2 million and $10 million, more than 50 took in over $1 billion."
