Family Opens New Deli in Yalesville

Husband-wife team opens business that was two years in the making.

A new deli recently opened in the Yalesville section of town after two years in the making, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports that the husband and wife team of Juan Reyes and Laura Villegas opened the Yalesville Deli, located at 360 Main St., on Sept. 11 — two years later than originally intended.

Reyes originally planned to open the business with a partner but the other investor pulled out and Reyes paid rent on the empty space for two years while saving money to open the deli, according to the Record-Journal.
