WALLINGFORD, CT — A father and son duo were arrested Tuesday in connection with a bank robbery in Wallingford last week, according to police.
Matthew Kevorkian, 28, of New Britain, and Mark Kevorkian, 68, of West Hartford, were arrested April 2 on warrants in connection with the robbery of the TD Bank at 928 North Colony Rd. on March 27, according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.
Police responded to the bank around 12:25 p.m. on the report of a robbery. The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored four-door Honda Civic, according to Jaques.

Jaques said staff at the bank told police that a man passed a note to a teller demanding cash, and said he left the bank and entered a dark-colored Honda Civic.
The suspect left with an undetermined amount of cash and no weapon was used during the theft, according to Jaques.

Jaques said officers “descended upon the area immediately and initiated their investigation into the incident.”
Police determined there was another person in the getaway car, according to Jaques.
Shortly after the incident, Jaques said Newington Police found the Honda Civic in their town, “used stop sticks to try to stop the car, but the suspects fled.”
The Honda Civic was later found at JC Penny at 1339 Tolland Turnpike in Manchester, according to Jaques.
Jaques said Wallingford detectives worked with “numerous other law enforcement agencies and quickly identified Matthew and Mark Kevorkian as the suspects.”
They were both arrested on warrants at an address in New Britain on Tuesday, according to Jaques. They were each charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny, fourth-degree larceny, and second-degree robbery.
Mark Kevorkian was being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond and was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday at Meriden Superior Court.
Matthew Kevorkian was released after posting a $50,000 bond with a court date of April 16.
“The Wallingford Police Department would like to thank the New Britain, Meriden, Manchester, and Newington Police Departments for their partnership and hard work in assisting us with bringing these suspects to justice in such a timely manner,” Jaques wrote in a news release.
