Fire Displaces Resident In Wallingford
One person was displaced from their home after a fire in Wallingford, according to officials.
WALLINGFORD, CT — One person was displaced from their home after a fire Tuesday in Wallingford, according to officials.
The American Red Cross is helping the displaced person after a fire on Heritage Woods, according to a news release.
The Red Cross provided assistance to meet the person’s immediate needs. Red Cross responders included Paul Bankowski, Ray Denardis, Nicole Tolman, Dana Nedab and Lisa Sgamboti.

“The Red Cross also provided a recovery envelope containing information helpful to families recovering from a fire, including tips on cleanup; notification of important contacts; dealing with damaged items and more,” officials wrote in the news release. “The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a resident might need when suddenly displaced from their home by a fire.”
The Wallingford Fire Department shared photos in a post on Facebook from the scene of a fire on Tuesday.

Officials said a cat was rescued from the fire and was reunited with its owner.
