Firefighters Battle Wallingford House Fire
The early morning blaze occurred on Cooper Avenue.

WALLINGFORD, CT - A fire heavily damaged an unoccupied house on Cooper Avenue early Wednesday, according to Wallingford fire officials.
Much of the damage was contained to the attic area, reports the Record-Journal.
Residents were not home when the 1:27 a.m. fire began. They were planning to have the home painted and had prepped it for that job.
