Gas Station Robbed At Knifepoint In Wallingford: Police

The robber held the knife to the clerk's lower back and told them to open the cash register and lay on the ground, according to police.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A gas station was robbed at knifepoint Sunday night in Wallingford, according to police.

Police responded to the Gulf gas station at 1195 North Colony Road around 8:15 p.m. on the report of a robbery at knifepoint, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.

Jaques said officers didn't find the robber, who made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

No injuries were reported.

Jaques said an investigation found that a “younger medium skinned” man, about 6-feet tall, entered the store wearing a blue hoodie, a gray sweater over it, a black mask, and blue jeans. The man approached the clerk, brandished a knife, held it to the clerk’s lower back, instructed the clerk to open the cash register, and told the clerk to lay on the ground, according to Jaques.

The man then took money and ran out of the store.
