Gaylord Presents “The Science and Practice of LSVT LOUD: Speech Treatment for Parkinson’s Disease”

Gaylord Hospital will present a free wellness lecture, “The Science and Practice of LSVT LOUD: Speech Treatment for Parkinson Disease” on Friday, April 28th at the Wallingford Senior Center, 238 Washington Street, Wallingford, from 10:15 – 11:45 a.m.
Cheryl Tansley, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech and Language Pathologist at Gaylord Hospital will discuss how therapists trained in the LSVT BIG & LOUD techniques improve speech, movement and quality of life for those with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological disorders.
Tansley, a certified LSVT therapist, will discuss advances in neuroscience and its impact on rehabilitation; developments on proven speech treatments using LSVT LOUD; key aspects of treatments using LSVT BIG, and future directions of treatments using technology.
