Gaylord Specialty Healthcare Announces Additions to Development Staff

WALLINGFORD, CONN. (May 17, 2017)— Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a non-profit specialty hospital located in Wallingford, Connecticut, announces the recent addition of three new employees to its development department staff.

Timothy Buzzee joins the hospital as Director of Annual Giving. A Norwalk resident, Timothy will be responsible for the strategic execution and management of Gaylord’s annual giving program. Tim earned his Masters of Public Administration at the University of Connecticut and was the former Manager of Development at Side by Side School. He is an active member of the Connecticut Society of Fundraising Professionals and serves on the Human Relations Commission of the City of Norwalk.

Avon resident Douglas Nelson, former Vice President and Director of Development at Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation in Bloomfield, has joined Gaylord as Major/Planned Giving Officer. Doug will be responsible for all major and deferred gifts. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and has more than 20 years of progressive experience managing fundraising, finance, investment, administration, alumni and community relations.

Krystle Smith, a Bridgeport resident, recently joined Development staff as Development Systems Associate and is responsible for all donor information and the Development Department’s database including logging, tracking and analyzing all incoming charitable gifts. Prior to arriving at Gaylord, she was the Development Operations Manager at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk and the Gift Administrator at Norwalk Hospital Foundation.
