Gaylord Specialty Healthcare Welcomes Physiatrist Hongmei Wang, M.D. to Staff

Offers specialized non-surgical care to those with chronic pain and compromised mobility.

Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is pleased to announce the addition of physiatrist Hongmei Wang, M.D. to their staff.

Dr. Wang completed medical school and a three-year training program at the Xiangya School of Medicine in China before moving to the United States and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Wang finished her internship in internal medicine at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland and she recently completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Wang to the Gaylord team,” said Dr. Stephen Holland, Chief Medical Officer, “and we look forward to her upcoming contributions to improve our patients’ lives.”

According to Dr. Holland, Gaylord’s Physiatry Services provide specialized non-surgical care to those who have had an accident, trauma or suffer from a disease that has compromised their mobility or caused chronic pain, orthopedic or other chronic medical conditions.

“Dr. Wang and our physiatrists use a comprehensive approach to help minimize our patients’ pain, regain their strength and return to their maximum function possible,” he explained.
