Goodwill, Wallingford, Prices to High
Goodwill, Wallingford donated & used items priced too high.
I want to update my post and my complaints about the Goodwill prices with pictures. The plastic items I said that Goodwill charges $1.49 for used and for only 1 tray are the blue plastic trays 3 for a dollar at the Dollar Tree. Goodwill also has white used ones for one tray for $1.49. I also uploaded dollar items from the Dollar Tree next store that are ONLY a dollar brand new. I did not go back into the Goodwill to take pictures. I may do that next time.
I go to the Goodwill in Wallingford a couple of times a month. They have signs outside "We love your donations". Last year I can see how it has changed. There are lots of donations, the prices are high for used items except on the some new desks that are big and take up space.
1. Prices are higher for used things example: I buy plastic containers in the Dollar Tree next store brand new for $1.00 sometime the Goodwill has used ones for the same thing priced a $1.49. Today there were plastic trays, like for pencils, for $1.49 the Dollar Tree has them 3 for $1.00.

2. There are so many items they can't fit on the shelves. The selves are full and they have 3 gray bins with products in the back isle that have not been put on shelves yet and some not priced.
3. They have racks of clothing and furniture in the center isle that don't fit in with the other clothes, no room for them.

People are generousness and good hearted but when a store that accepts donations, is over crowed with merchandise, some new, has no room on the shelves something is not right.
I am happy the Goodwill hires some handicap people that price and put the items on the shelves at least that is what I heard but with all these donations and many items in the back outside that have not been brought in the building, the buyers don't get the breaks in price they deserve. The items/products are over-crowding all the other things for sale that were donated. Someone is making out good in the Goodwill and it is not the donators, buyers or employees in Wallingford Goodwill.
