National Retailer Opens New Location In Wallingford
The national hardware retailer is celebrating its grand opening in Wallingford.
WALLINGFORD, CT — A national hardware retailer has opened its latest location in Wallingford, according to the Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Harbor Freight Tools is celebrating its official grand opening in the Kohl’s Plaza on Route 5 in Wallingford.
The Wallingford store, located at 1240 South Broad St., is the chain's 13th Connecticut location and is expected to employ 25 to 30 workers, according to the Record-Journal.

Harbor Freight was launched in 1977 by Eric Smidt and his father, Allan Smidt. More than 40 years later, Harbor Freight has more than 1,200 store nationwide and “not only are we still family owned, but we've stayed true to our mission,” according to its website. “We've continued to deliver an incredible assortment of quality tools to pros and DIYers alike at prices that are up to 80% less than competing brands.”
