Home Repairman Charged with Stealing Woman's Wedding Band

The man is accused of stealing, and pawning, jewelry from a Wallingford resident while working at the house.

A Naugatuck man is accused of stealing jewelry, including a diamond wedding band, from a woman who had hired him to do home repairs, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Daniel James Ellis, 29, of 234 Morning Dove Road, was recently arrested on a warrant for the December 2014 incident.

Investigators were able to determine that the jewelry, which was valued at up to $5,000, was pawned at a shop in Naugatuck, according to the Record-Journal.
