Intoxicated Man Struck Elderly Woman In Face: Wallingford Police

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford man, who police say was visibly intoxicated, is accused of striking an elderly woman in the face while she was watching TV, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports John Carney, 64, lives in a guest portion of the woman’s home and allegedly entered the room and struck the victim while she was watching TV.

The victim hid in the bushes outside of the home until police arrived and arrested Carney, according to the Record-Journal.
