‘Irish Person Of The Year’ Honored In Wallingford
The longtime resident has been honored with a mayoral proclamation after being named the Wallingford Elks Lodge's "Irish Person of the Year"
WALLINGFORD, CT — Mary Anne Slain has been honored as the Wallingford Elks Lodge’s 2024 “Irish Person of the Year.”
Mayor Vincent Cervoni issued a proclamation in her honor.
“Mary Anne has dedicated her time in Wallingford volunteering at the Wallingford Elks Lodge, the Wallingford Wishing Well, the Wallingford Community Women, the Greater New Haven Irish Club, the Women and Family Center, the Connecticut Special Olympics, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, and Camp Sunshine,” the proclamation reads in part.
