Main Street Churches Join for Get-to-Know-You Dinner
Three Main Street churches to host joint dinner on Saturday, October 27.

This isn’t your ordinary church dinner.
On Saturday, October 27, 2012, members of three separate congregations on Main Street in Wallingford will take part in a joint dinner that moves from church to church. The dinner is part of an effort to promote ongoing collaboration among the neighboring churches.

The dinner begins with soup and bread at First Baptist Church, 114 North Main. After that course is complete, diners feast on family-style pork roast at First Congregational Church, 23 South Main. And finally, they enjoy coffee and dessert with musical entertainment by a combined choir from the three churches at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 65 North Main.
The evening will last from 5 to 9 p.m. The suggested donation is $5. Proceeds will benefit Master’s Manna, a food pantry, clothes closet, and soup kitchen serving the greater Wallingford, Meriden, and North Haven communities.
