Man Accused Of Assaulting Teen At Library: Wallingford Police

Police said a 17-year-old was assaulted by a 21-year-old man at the Wallingford Public Library.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A man is accused of assaulting a teen at the Wallingford Public Library, according to police.

Police responded to the library around 4:20 p.m. on April 5 on the report of an assault.

Officers found that a 17-year-old was assaulted by a man identified as 21-year-old Tyler DePino of Wallingford, according to police.

DePino was found by officers a short distance away from the Public Library and was taken into custody, police said. The juvenile sustained suspected minor injuries, according to police.

DePino was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, and second-degree threatening. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of April 19.
