WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford man accused of being in possession of child sexual abuse material was found to have stolen more than 2,000 prescription pills from patients at a healthcare facility where he worked, according to police.
Karam Aljobori, 37, turned himself in on a warrant on Jan. 28 in connection with an investigation into possession of child sexual abuse material, according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.

“Detectives assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, in collaboration with the FBI Task Force, conducted a months-long investigation," Jaques wrote in a news release. "As a result of this investigation, search warrants were executed at Aljobori’s residence for electronic devices. Forensic examination of the seized devices revealed evidence of Child Sexual Abuse Material, establishing probable cause for arrest.
“During the execution of the search warrants, officers also discovered more than 2,000 prescription pills that were illegally possessed. Further investigation determined that the pills had been stolen from patients at a healthcare facility where Aljobori was employed at the time. Aljobori was terminated from his employment and subsequently charged in connection with the theft.”
