Jaques said officers reviewed surveillance video of the theft and got a description of the suspect. Based on their investigation, Jaques said they thought the suspect might still be in the immediate area, which is densely wooded.

K-9 Tate and his handler conducted a track and Coitrone was found approximately 100 yards away in the wooded area with at least one item that was taken in the burglary, according to Jaques. Coitrone was taken into custody and taken to the Wallingford Police Department, Jaques said.

Coitrone was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, and sixth-degree larceny. He was assigned a court date of Oct. 25 to be arraigned at Meriden Superior Court, according to Jaques.
