Man Found Guilty In Sexual Assault Of Victim In Wallingford
The man was found guilty of five charges in connection with the sexual assault of a victim in Wallingford, according to officials.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man has been convicted by a jury in connection with the sexual assault of a victim in Wallingford in 2023, according to officials.
Mark Lincoln, 27, was found guilty by a jury in New Haven Superior Court on Jan. 9 of five criminal offenses, including first-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor, first-degree unlawful restraint, third-degree assault, and second-degree threatening, New Haven State’s Attorney John P. Doyle Jr. announced.
Evidence at the trial showed the defendant sexually and physically abused the adult victim in Wallingford in 2023, according to a news release from the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice. Two cases were joined for a consolidated trial before a jury in New Haven Superior Court, with the Judge David L. Zagaja presiding, according to the news release.

The cases were investigated by the Wallingford Police Department and prosecuted by Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Melissa R. Holmes and Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney Elisabeth J. Luczek, with assistance from Inspector Michael Mastropetre.
Lincoln is scheduled to be sentenced on March 18.
