Man Sent Written Messages Threatening to Blow Up Building and Kill People: Wallingford Police
Police said a healthcare agency in town received a written threat, which included anti-Semitic symbols, in the mail.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Waterbury man is accused of writing a threatening note, which included threats to blow up a building, to kill people along with anti-Semitic symbols, that was sent to the Community Health Network, according to police.
Wallingford Police responded to Community Health Network, located at 11 Fairfield Boulevard, at about 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 29 to investigate a written threat mailed to the business, according to Lt. Cheryl Bradley.
Bradley said the business had received an envelope in the mail with a return address for a subject residing in Waterbury.

“Inside the envelope were several documents, which were determined to have been sent to that subject approximately 11 months ago at his former address in Bristol,” Bradley said in a press release. “The documents contained handwritten messages to include threats to blow up a building and to kill people along with anti-Semitic symbols.”
Based on the severity of the threats, all employees of Community Health Network were sent home and advised to work from home for the remainder of the week, according to Bradley.

Wallingford Police made an arrest in the case at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Stephen Lorusso, 33, of Platt Street in Waterbury, was arrested and charged with first-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace. He is being held on a $50,000 bond and has a scheduled court date of Dec. 14 in Meriden.
