Medical Facility to Move to Former Wallingford Liquor Store Site: Report

Wallingford, CT - Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists recently received approval from the Wallingford Planning and Zoning Commission to construct a medical facility at the site of the former Wallingford Wine & Spirit Co.

The health care provider hopes to complete construction and open the new location in the spring of 2017, reports the Meriden Record-Journal. Plans call the current structure to be razed and a new 14,000-square-foot building to replace it.

The property, located at 701 North Colony Road, was purchased by Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists in the fall of 2014 for $1.35 million. The company currently has offices on Yale Avenue in Wallingford which it will keep.
