MidState Medical Center recognized by Evonik Industries of Wallingford for second consecutive year

MidState Medical Center was the proud recipient of funding from Evonik Industries, Inc., of Wallingford, for the second consecutive year, in recognition and support of the hospital’s community-wide efforts in emergency preparedness.

MidState received $2,000 from Evonik, a global chemical company that also values safety and preparedness. Plant manager Peter Stein and safety coordinator David Rodriguez visited MidState on Friday, Dec. 20, to tour the hospital’s emergency department and learn more about its role in safeguarding the community.

Hospital leadership, including business manager Susan McGaughan, RN, security manager Augie Holzmiller, medical director Dr. Donald Lombino, and regional director of emergency services Robert Flade, discussed with Stein and Rodriguez how the department operates and the communication vehicles in place that are used in times of crisis situations.
