More Coronavirus Cases Confirmed At 3 Wallingford Schools

Officials reported additional cases of the coronavirus at three schools in Wallingford on Monday.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Just hours after announcing that Sheehan High School is temporarily switching to full distance learning, the Wallingford Public School District reported more confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

The district was notified Monday that people from Lyman Hall High School, Mark T. Sheehan High School, and Moran Middle School tested positive for the virus.

Officials determined that the confirmed cases were in close contact with one or more people while in a school setting, according to a message sent to parents.

“The Wallingford Public School District, in collaboration with the Wallingford Health Department, initiated a case investigation at Lyman Hall High School, Mark T. Sheehan High School, and Moran Middle School contact tracing activities to identify all individuals who may have been in close contact with the case,” the message reads. “All individuals identified as close contacts have already been notified by the building administration or the school nurse.”
