Oakdale Theatre Shooting: 2 Killed Outside Venue in Wallingford Identified: UPDATE

A shooting killed two and injured two others outside the venue where Rapper Meek Mill was scheduled to perform at the theatre Friday night.

UPDATE: Police have identified the two people killed in a shooting outside the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford where rapper Meek Mill was scheduled to perform, according to a report in the Record-Journal.

The paper, citing Police Lt. Cheryl Bradley, reports the two victims were identified as Travis Ward, 31, and Jacquan Graves, 20. Both men were residents of New Haven. Bradley was quoted by the paper as saying that the shooting doesn't appear to be related to the rapper.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing with the assistance of the State Police Major Crime Unit.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Two people were killed in a late Friday night shooting outside the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, according to multiple reports.

The Meriden Record-Journal reports that four people were shot and two are confirmed dead. The other two victims were being treated at area hospitals, according to the Record-Journal.

Police responded to the theatre around 11:15 p.m.

Rapper Meek Mill was performing at the Oakdale on Friday night with the show scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., according to WFSB 3.

WFSB 3 reports police are still looking for the shooter.
