National Night Out Details Announced In Wallingford

The Wallingford Police Department is participating in its first National Night Out event, which will feature food trucks, games and more.

WALLINGFORD, CT — For the first time, the Wallingford Police Department will be participating in the annual National Night Out community- building campaign that promotes police and community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

This event provides a great opportunity to bring the police and the community together under positive circumstances.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at Doolittle Park, 80 South Elm Street in Wallingford.

There will be a chance to interact with the Wallingford Police and Fire Departments, along with other town departments and community-based organizations to include National Night Out sponsors ADT and Starbucks.

There will be activities for children to include an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, lawn games, and other activities led by police officers.

Food and beverages from the Pig Rig, Los Mariachis, Bananas Ice Cream, and Green Kettle Coffee will be available for purchase.
