New Microbrewery To Open In Wallingford
A Wallingford resident announces plans to open a new microbrewery in town.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A new microbrewery is expected to open next year in a vacant building on Wallace Avenue behind Archie Moore’s in downtown Wallingford, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. Center Street Brewing Co. announced this week on its new Facebook page that it will be opening at 25 Wallace Avenue in downtown Wallingford in 2018.
The Record-Journal reports that longtime Wallingford resident Peter Ford, who has brewed at his home for about 30 years, will open the business with his brother Tim and Cheshire resident Jake Degennaro, who will work as an assistant brewer.
Ford told the Record-Journal that he doesn’t plan to serve food and the philosophy isn’t to compete with restaurants like Archie Moore’s but to be part of the downtown experience.
