‘Non-Credible’ Bomb Threat Investigated At School In Wallingford
Police investigated a rumored bomb threat at Dag Hammarskjold Middle School on Friday that was deemed to be not credible, officials said.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Police investigated a rumored potential bomb threat at Dag Hammarskjold Middle School on Friday morning that was deemed to be not credible, according to Superintendent of Schools Danielle Bellizzi.
“It is unfortunate that we live in a time where rumors of this type occur and can run rampant and we understand how distressing this situation is for parents, staff, and students,” Bellizzi wrote in a message to parents. “I want to reiterate that everyone is safe and the rumor, while alarming, was non-credible.
“I want to thank the Wallingford Police Department and the Dag Hammarskjold administration for their immediate response to this situation. The safety of all of our students and staff remains our top priority.”
