North Farms Reservoir 5-4-2018 - North Farms today, lots of Canadian Geese and Swans. There were a few people fishing and some were taking pictures.

The geese came on land and some stayed in the water by the shore. The Swans stayed in the water. They were dunking their heads looking for food in the water.
I saw one Swan with his foot above the water kind of peddling slow. The water smells really bad by the shore. There are a lot of rotting leaves and branches. The Swans don't come to close in these areas I think because their legs will get tangled in the mess.

I saw geese with a medal ring on one leg. I don't understand why this is still being done. Canadian Geese and other birds are still being tagged with medal rings around their legs. We don't need to get that info anymore this is the electronic age. The birds don't need these medal tags.
