Obituary: Alva-Lee Soucy, 77, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Alva-Lee Soucy, 77, of Wallingford, loving wife of the late Roland Soucy, passed away August 2, 2023 at Masonicare in Wallingford.

Alva-Lee was born in Meriden on August 24, 1945, a daughter of the late Walter and Elva (Maschio) Stowik, SR.

Alva-Lee graduated from Lyman Hall High School. She married, became a homemaker and raised her family. Alva-Lee was a great supporter of her daughter as a scout leader, PTO leader, energy auditor, and much more. She loved tag sales and spending time flying kites at Cape Cod with her husband. She worked briefly for Al Gentile and Stanley Judd.

Alva-Lee is survived by her daughter, Lisa-Anne Mowerson and her husband, Scott, of Wallingford; her beloved grandson, Matthew Mowerson who called her "Nana"; her brother Walter Stowik, jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Masonic, especially, Beverly, who supported both parents through the past years and her roommate, Jean, who was a good friend these past few months and a great happy hour mate.

Per Alva-Lee’s request, all funeral arrangements are private and are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford.
