Angel R. Macalalad, 64, of Wallingford, loving husband of Bernarda (Daluz) Macalalad, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 9, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Angel was born in Calatagan, Batangas, Philippines, June 1, 1952, a son of Calixto Macalalad of the Philippines and the late Raymunda (Rapas) Macalalad. He had been employed as a chef and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Yalesville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children Eugenia Gomez and her husband Jerry of Wallingford, Helen Sanchez and her husband Rolly of Canada and Virgilio Macalalad and his wife Angela of Wallingford; his 8 grandchildren Luis Anton Balingit, Gillian Macalalad, Robbie Seng Seng, Mark Sanchez, Christian Sanchez, Jeth Gomez, Jake Gomez and Jazmine Sanchez; and his 2 brothers Arthur and Sommy of the Philippines.
Funeral services and Interment in the Eternal Garden Cemetery will be held in the Philippines.
