Obituary: Anna Kruse, 92, Of Wallingford

She was a chemistry teacher at Lyman Hall before retiring to pursue her passion project – Circle K Farms, which opened in 1995.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home): Anna Kruse, 92, of Wallingford, departed this life on September 14, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Kruse.

Anna was born in New Haven, CT on March 2, 1931 to Michael Schoff, Sr., and Anna (Holzmann) Schoff.

After Anna graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 1949, she earned her BA from Connecticut State Teachers College in 1953 and her MA from the University of Hartford in 1957. After college, Anna returned to Wallingford to teach Chemistry at Lyman Hall, where she would receive numerous awards and accolades before retiring in 1988 to pursue her other love, horses.

Anna’s passion project, Circle K Farms, opened in 1995. Owning a horse boarding facility had been Anna’s dream, and at times, the facility housed over 20 horses.

Anna is survived by her brother Michael “Bud” Schoff, Jr., two nephews and one grand-nephew.
