WALLINGFORD, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Arthur J. Pfaff Jr., 73, on April 15, 2023. He passed away peacefully at MidState Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Arthur was born in New Haven on February 18, 1950 and was the son of the late Arthur and Betty Pfaff. He graduated from West Haven High School in 1969.

Arthur was the loving, devoted husband of the late Susan Pfaff, together they shared 51 loving years. They were high school sweethearts. Arthur and Susan did not have the chance to honeymoon like most newlyweds, as Art made the brave decision to enlist in the Navy to serve in Vietnam and serve our country.

Art valued his work colleagues and often told stories of his memories back in the day. Some of those friendships he kept until his last days and appreciated all of them.

Art was the ultimate family man, he loved his family unconditionally and would do anything to be there for his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and wife and soulmate Susie Q. He would have given his life for Susie, so much so, he didn’t think twice when she needed a kidney, what was his was hers. Art fought bravely despite how weak or sick he felt to give his family more time with him.

Left to cherish his memory forever are his children Jennifer Franzoni (Joseph), Jodie Watson (Jason), Jared Pfaff (Apryl) and Jaime Pfaff. Beloved Poppy of his grandchildren McKenzie Donnan (Tyler), Reagan, Noah, Aryanna, Bailie, Olivia, Charleigh, and Khalise and to his great-grandchildren Hayden, Taytum and Bowden. Brother of Elizabeth Booher, Mark Pfaff (Tanya), Louise Brands, and Carl Pfaff. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The visiting hours will be Thursday, April 20 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., North Haven Funeral Home.
