Obituary: Beckley B. Stone, 81, Of Wallingford
Beckley worked his entire life as a Heavy Equipment Operator up until his retirement.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Beckley B. Stone, 81, of Wallingford, loving husband of 59 years to Janet (Timothy) Stone, passed away January 15, 2023 at MidState Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Beckley was born in Glover, Vermont on November 22, 1941, a son of the late Elwin and Alice (Drew) Stone.
Beckley worked his entire life as a Heavy Equipment Operator up until his retirement. During the winter months he would travel throughout the states building tracks for the Monster Truck shows. Some of his hobbies included hunting, camping and vacationing with family and friends. What truly brought joy to Beckley was the quality time he got to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by his son, Timothy Stone and his wife, Kelly, of South Meriden; his daughters, Kimberly Vale and her husband, Armando, of Meriden, Colleen Carey and her husband, Justin, of Smithtown, L.I. and Erin Stone of Wallingford; his grandchildren, Shane, Amber, Kyle, Joshua, Harley, Justin Jr., Samantha and Bryce; his great-grandchildren, Saige, Ethan, Shane Jr., Alaina, Peyton, Kyle Jr., Nathan and Lyla; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Dean, Hugh, Arland, Mason, Dan, Owen, Vanessa, Warner, Gordon and Olin.
Beckley’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext. on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. His funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. during calling hours. Interment will be private.
