Obituary: Carol Ann ‘Auntie’ Elyett, 79

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Carol Ann Elyett, affectionately known as "Auntie," 79, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at MidState Medical Center.

Carol was born in Meriden on May 3, 1944, to her loving parents, the late Charles A. and Nettie (Stupakevich) Elyett.

She embarked on a dedicated career journey, first serving for many years at Ulbrich Specialty Metals and later finding fulfillment at the Wiggin and Dana Law Firm in New Haven. However, her most cherished and final occupation was as a devoted pet sitter for over two decades with Wagging Tails.

She leaves behind her beloved nephew, Charles “Jay” Elyett; niece, Tammy Raccio, and her husband, Joseph Raccio III, and their sons Joseph Raccio IV and Anthony Raccio. Additionally, she is survived by numerous cousins. Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Anthony Elyett and Michael John Elyett.

In honor of Carol's lifelong passion for animals, donations in her memory can be made to the Wallingford Animal Shelter, situated at 5 Pent Rd., Wallingford, CT 06492. Carol's memory will live on through the love she shared with her family, friends, and her four-legged companions.
