Obituary: Catherine F. (Zobriski) Carlson, 72, of Wallingford

Catherine F. (Zobriski) Carlson, 72, of Wallingford, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at MidState Medical Center. She was the loving wife of John Carlson of 50 wonderful years.

She was born in New Haven, July 20, 1946, a daughter of the late Martin and Sophie (Gontarz) Zobriski.

In addition to her husband John, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Spencer Sheades; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Mellisa Carlson; and her grandchildren, Kristopher and Kyle Carlson, and Spencer Sheades Jr. and Sophie Sheades.

Cathy, or Mima as her grandchildren lovingly called her, had a great desire to help those in need and had a passion in donating to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Shriners Hospital. She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, daughter and friend. Her kindness and understanding will always be remembered as well as the laughter and neck kisses that Spencer Jr. so patiently waited for each visit. Cathy was also a fabulous cook and baker and enjoyed cooking for her family. She will be missed dearly and kept alive in the hearts of all who loved her.
