Obituary: Charlene D. (Sargent) Hunter, 66, of Wallingford
She loved the beach, spending time in Nantucket, taking family vacations to the Outer Banks, N.C. and visiting lighthouses.

From Wallingford Funeral Home: Charlene D. (Sargent) Hunter, 66, of Wallingford, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 24, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late William P. Hunter.
Charlene was born in New Haven, May 3, 1951, a daughter of the late Ernest Sargent and Marie (Miller) Sargent and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. Charlene was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church. She loved the beach, spending time in Nantucket, taking family vacations to the Outer Banks, N.C. and visiting lighthouses.
She is survived by her children and their loving companions, Matthew and Michele Vail, Eileen and son-in-law Michael Fedorchuk, and Kathleen and Dustin Brandenburg; her mother-in-law Kathleen Hunter; her grandchildren, Jacob Smart and Delilah Andrews; her brother Lawrence C. Sargent; her brother-in-law James Hunter and wife Sharon; and her beloved dog “Rascal.”

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Monday, October 30, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 31, from The Wallingford Funeral Home at 9 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Beaverdale Memorial Park in New Haven. Gifts in her memory may be sent to JDRF, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004, to help Juvenile Diabetes.
