Obituary: ​Charlotte Peluso Mowrey

Charlotte Peluso Mowrey was born in Queens, New York and was always proud to be a New Yorker. She started her secretarial career working for MGM Pictures with an office in Radio City. After her move to CT with her husband Fred, she then spent over 40 years as a Wallingford elementary school secretary (Yalesville, Rockhill). She loved traveling the world, being social, and volunteering at the Schubert Theatre and Ivoryton Playhouse. She was pre-deceased by Fred Mowrey.

She leaves her son RussellMowrey, daughter, Ruth-Ann Hockert and granddaughter Megan Hockert. She will be missed by her nephews and their families. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday, Nov. 5 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. Graveside services will be held privately in In Memoriam Cemetery Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405; Guilford Senior Citizens, 32 Church St, Guilford or Guilford Free Library, 67 Park St, Guilford, CT 06437.
