Obituary: Christine McFarlane, 69, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From B.C. Bailey Funeral Home): Christine McFarlane, 69, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Christine was born in Wallingford, CT on September 19, 1953, to the late Lawrence and Florence (Dembiczak) Kiss.

She is survived by her beloved husband James McFarlane. She was a devoted mother to her sons John King and Matthew King, and daughters Lisa Butler and Ryan Marie McFarlane. Christine is survived by her brothers Charles, Jon and sister Lorelei Kiss as well as her grandchildren Justin Staffieri and Rowan King. She was predeceased by her sister Cynthia and brother Larry Kiss.

Christine was a lifelong resident of Wallingford. She was a dedicated worker with a quirky sense of humor. Christine was very caring and especially well known for her ability to sense when someone needed help. She touched many lives with her generosity.

At home she was an avid reader and could always be found comfortably immersed in the stories of fantasy or mystery. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing family games as well as tackling creative projects that inspired her.

Services for Christine will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local library in her honor.
