Obituary: Corrine M. Heuberger, 97, Of Wallingford
Corrine, who many knew as Corky from her 20-plus years working at the Corner Shoppe in Yalesville, valued family above all else.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Corrine M. Heuberger, 97, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sept. 8, 2022.
Born in Fall River, MA, January 7, 1925, she was the loving daughter of the late Mable (Bliss) and William Morgan and is predeceased by sisters Dot, Beryl and brother Bill.
Corrine grew up in RI and was a switchboard operator at the telephone office. She met and married handsome Sailor, Alvin H. Heuberger on November 17, 1948. The family moved from Rhode Island to Ridgeland in Wallingford, CT and built the life she always dreamed of. Kids could play outside until the streetlights came on. Parents got together for Saturday night dances (She loved to dance), gather at a kitchen table filling the house with laughter, and formed work crews for countless projects around the neighborhood.

Many knew her as Corky from her 20+ years working at the Corner Shoppe in Yalesville. Later in life she moved to Sunny Acres, another close-knit community where she added to her close circle of friends.
She was so creative and took pride in making gifts for family and friends; elaborate costumes for Halloween and the 1970 Wallingford Jubilee, dresses for weddings or proms, countless mittens, and other creations she knitted over the years. She looked forward to all holidays and seasons; delighted to decorate for all of them. She loved birds and animals, especially the family dogs, Ginger and Nauset, and would light up when friends brought their dogs to visit.
