Obituary: Daniel K. Pender Sr., 68; Formerly Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Daniel K. Pender Sr., 68, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, formerly of Wallingford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 24th, 2023.

Daniel, a retired truck driver, was born in Meriden on August 24, 1956, the son of the late Harry and Phyllis (Marenna) Pender. He lived most of his life in Wallingford, Connecticut, before moving to Moore County, North Carolina, in 2016 to be closer to his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, who loved him very much: Jacqueline Hurd and her husband Tom, Danielle Attia, Daniel Pender Jr. and his wife Victoria, and nine grandchildren—Mia, Caitlyn, Amerah, Isabelle, Brendon, Miles, Sophia, Ariana, and Jayce, all of North Carolina. He also leaves behind his wife, Elena. In addition to his immediate family, Daniel is survived by his siblings: Harry Pender, Wendy Liseo, Tammy Olson, Gary Pender, and Tom Pender. He is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews, who cherish the memories from earlier times. Daniel was predeceased by his daughter Selana Pender and brother Phillip Pender.

He is deeply missed by his children and grandchildren, may he rest in peace.
