Obituary: David J. Boober, 34, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): David J. Boober, 34, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022.

He was born in Meriden, CT. on January 17, 1988. David was a graduate of Mark T. Sheehan High School, Class of 2006, where he was involved in years of playing sports: Baseball and Football. As a child, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes, quads, and snowboarding.

For 18-plus years, David worked for J. Boober Construction Co. alongside his father, John, whom he admired very much. David enjoyed spending time and having fun with his loved ones.

He is survived by his heart and soul and beloved son, David G. Boober; his father, John Boober (Christine Mola); his mother, Kimberly (Pia) Boober (Albert Arre); his sister, Melanie Magoon (Kyle Magoon); his nephew, Kaden and his niece, Emmalyn; his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Joan Pia; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Harlow and Mary Boober, his lifelong best friend, Ernesto Cipolli and a previous long-term friendship and relationship, Michelle Losty.

In death, David gave the gift of life. He was an organ donor and his heart saved a recipient in the need to live on.

His family will receive relatives and friends in the Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St. (in the Yalesville section of Wallingford), on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Fatima Church, located on 382 Hope Hill Rd., Yalesville, CT. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven, CT.
