Obituary: David M. DiSatsio Sr., 73, Of Wallingford
A U.S. Army veteran, David worked for 30 years at Metro North Railroad as an Assistant Director of overhead lines.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): David M. DiSatsio Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at home surrounded by his much-loved family. He was born on July 7, 1949 in New Haven, a son to the late Andrew and Ethel (Depoto) DiStasio.
He is survived by his wife Sandra M. (Beauvais) DiStasio, a daughter, Hollie (DiStasio)Wright and her husband John Wright of Wallingford, a son Edward DiStasio and his husband David Granai of Quincy Ma.,and his beloved grandson AJ Feliz. He also leaves his brother Kenneth DiStasio of East Haven, his sister Karen (DiStasio) Acampora and husband Alphonse Acampora of West Haven,Raejanice (DiStasio) Dastoli, and her husband Foca Dastoli of Kenstington, Dacia (DiStasio) Jondron and her husband Rick Jondron of McKinnney, TX, along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was predeceased by his son David DiStasio Jr. in 1991.
David is a graduate of Lyman Hall High School and Post University. He proudly served four years in the U.S. Army. He worked for 30 years at Metro North Railroad as an Assistant Director of overhead lines. In retirement, he enjoyed boating, softball, golfing, being in his Sunrise Florida retirement home, watching his grandson play baseball, and traveling with his wife of 52 years.

The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice of East Hartford and close family and friends who were of comfort to them in his final hours. And especially Sandra’s sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Louis Perone for all your love and support.
The DiStasio family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Friday, August 26th, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
