Obituary: Denise J. Carroll, 71, Of Wallingford
She enjoyed volunteering for events with the Wallingford Little League and was a loyal spectator at her family members' sporting events.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Denise J. Carroll, 71, of Wallingford, loving wife of Kenneth W. Carroll for 38 years, passed away December 9, 2022 at MidState Medical Center.
Denise was born in Meriden on June 1, 1951, a daughter of the late Carl and Mildred (Langevin) Marquardt.
Denise worked in clerical positions and was an active member of FBC Wallingford, singing in choir and gathering with her Sisters in Christ. Denise loved meeting her friends for bingo and playing her favorite card game, “Go,” with her family. She enjoyed volunteering for events with the Wallingford Little League and was a loyal spectator at her family members’ sporting events.

Denise was one of a kind, a friend to many, and a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she is survived by her sons, Shawn San Miguel and his wife, Katharine, of Wallingford, Jeremy Carroll and his wife, Chelsea, of Wolcott and Joshua Carroll and his wife, Amy, of Wallingford; her daughter, Staci-Lynn Jacque and her husband, Shane, of Wallingford; her grandchildren, Allen Woods, Aaron San Miguel, Brendin Woods, Mariah Woods, Skylah San Miguel, Nicholas Carroll, Bailey Carroll, Kaitlyn Truelson, Griffin Truelson, Elliott Carroll and Abby Carrol; her great grandchildren, Julian Woods, Brooks San Miguel and Ledger San Miguel. She was predeceased by her sister, Bonnie Maggio and her brother, Carl Marquardt.

Denise’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford. Burial will be private. There will be a lunch reception directly after the funeral at Fellowship Hall in First Baptist Church.
