Obituary: Dominic Patrissi Sr., 72, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Dominic Patrissi Sr., 72, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Sahtila) Patrissi.

Dominic was born in New York City, January 10, 1952, a son of the late Daniel and Ann (Nardo) Patrissi. He and his family moved from New York and settled in Connecticut 33 years ago.

He had a diverse career including having owned Dom’s Luncheonette, working as a Deputy Sherrif, and co-owning a corner store in Schoharie, NY, being Head of Security at U.S. Surgical as well as working security at Yale University.

He was a collector of American Flyer Trains, loved the Beatles and a brown belt in Karate. He also was a gifted musician, especially playing the guitar and drums.

In addition to his wife Joan, he is survived by his daughter, Genene Patrissi of Branford; his son and daughter-in-law, Dominic Patrissi Jr. and Jessica Patrissi of Wallingford; his grandchildren, Brooke, Leah and Chase; his brother, Joseph Patrissi of Queens, NY; many nieces, nephews; his beloved dog, Guido; and grand-dog, Honey Pie.

Dom’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St. In the Yalesville section of Wallingford, on Friday, February 9 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Meriden.
