Obituary: Edward G. Charbonneau Jr., 49, of Wallingford
He loved sports and was a proud member of the 1985 Lyman Hall High School Football State Championship team.

Edward G. Charbonneau Jr., 49, of Wallingford, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. He was born in New Haven, November 8, 1968, a son of Joan (Longley) Charbonneau and the late Edward G. Charbonneau Sr.
He was a self- employed licensed contractor. He loved sports and was a proud member of the 1985 Lyman Hall High School Football State Championship team. He was an avid cyclist and could be found on his bike at every opportunity. He enjoyed skiing in Lake Tahoe and Whistler with his brothers and friends. He particularly loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Ed was a truly selfless man who would always be there to help a friend in need.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Amy Miller (Rick); his brothers, Peter Charbonneau (Sandy), and David Charbonneau (Genevieve); his nieces and nephews, Benjamin and Katelyn Miller, and Nicholas, Tyler, Madison and McKenna Charbonneau.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A service will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Centerville Cemetery in Hamden. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the International Mountain Bicycling Association @ www.imba.com
