Obituary: Edward J. Badon Sr., 93, of Wallingford

Edward J. Badon Sr., 93, of Wallingford, loving husband of the late Madeline (Clerici) Badon passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Regency House in Wallingford.

Edward was born in New Britain, July 28, 1924, a son of the late Frank J. Badon and Catherine (Kulesa) Badon and had been a Wallingford resident for many years. Edward was a U.S. Navy veteran and served as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate. He was employed by the Wallingford Electric Division until his retirement and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.

He is survived by his 3 children Clarice Badon of Wallingford, Edward J. Badon Jr. of Rockfall and Richard J. Badon and his longtime companion Vicki Pinto of Meriden; his granddaughter Brooke Badon; his brother Frank Badon and his wife Bruna of Plainville; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 3 sisters Stephanie Krystopa, Helen Buratti, Mary Barnes; and his brother Anthony Badon.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Monday, December 18, 2017, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 19, from The Wallingford Funeral Home at 9 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
