Obituary: Ellen Sarah DeFigueiredo, 79, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Ellen Sarah DeFigueiredo, 79, beloved wife of Albino J. DeFigueiredo, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Whitney Manor in Hamden. She was born in Meriden on October 27, 1943, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (McKnerney) McMahon.

A woman of faith, Ellen was a long-time parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church. She worked as a fraud investigator for Electronic Data Services in East Hartford for many years until her retirement.

In addition to her husband, Ellen is survived by her beloved daughter, Amy Lynn DeFigueiredo of Wallingford; her adored grandson, Justin Tyler Corazzini of Wallingford; her brother, Donald T. McMahon and his wife, Kathy of Durham; her sister-in-law, Janice McMahon of Meriden; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous extended family members and beloved friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Jay T. McMahon.

Ellen’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Monday, February 13th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14th at 10 a.m. directly at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 N. Colony St., Wallingford. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.
