Obituary: Emil T. Krol, 91, Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Emil T. Krol, 91, of Wallingford, died Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Regency House. He was the loving husband of the late Philomene A. (Thisdale) Krol.

Emil was born in Wallingford, June 15, 1932, a son of the late Walter and Josephine (Zielinski) Krol and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Quinnipiac College and went on to work as a Foreman at Allegheny Ludlum Steel until his retirement. Emil was an active member of the Wallingford Senior Center and was a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection.

Emil is survived by his sons, David Krol (Suzanne) of Wallingford, Robert J. Krol of Farmington and Richard Krol (Nancy) of Durham; his daughters, Tammy Krol of Wallingford and Kathleen Coughlin (James) of Durham; his grandchildren Kathryn Marie Krol, Ryan Krol, Melanie Krol, James Clack, Michael Blodgett Jr., Sarah Blodgett, Jessica Coughlin and Lauren Coughlin; his sister, Helen Tremaglio, and sisters-in-law Julieann Krol and Phyllis Krol; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Joe Clack; his brothers, Ted Krol, Walter Krol and infant brother, John Krol; and his sister, Janet Bastura

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Wednesday, February 21, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. directly at the Church of the Resurrection. Interment with military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
