Obituary: Gennaro M. Germe Jr., 59; Formerly Of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Gennaro M. Germe Jr., 59, of North Carolina, formerly of Wallingford, CT, died unexpectedly, November 28, 2022.

He was born in New Haven, Connecticut on June 15, 1963, a son of Gennaro M. Germe of East Haven, and the late Deane (Trask) Germe.

He attended Lyman Hall High School and played football and hockey throughout his years there. Gennaro lived most of his life in Connecticut but spent some years in California and recently resided in North Carolina.

He was an electrician for just over 40 years.

He was always the most kind hearted man and loved his family; Germe and Trask, which included many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Gennaro is survived by his children, Gennaro M. Germe III, Kaila M. Nitsche and Laura A. Nitsche, all of Florida; and his grandchildren; Jayden, Briella, James and Aubrielle. He is also survived by his brothers, Chad Germe (Veronica) of Wallingford, CT, Walter "Joseph" Germe (Brenda), of New Haven and his sister Tina Germe Mature of East Haven.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 22, 2023 at 12 noon at Saint Bernadette Church, 385 Townsend Avenue, New Haven. A celebration of his life will follow in the summer.
