With Kathy, Gil became an avid cruiser, averaging 2 cruises a year including several trans-Atlantic crossings. He was a Masonic brother of Compass Lodge #9. He enjoyed playing Pokemon Go and achieved level 40 (his most favored Pokemon were Lugia and Shuckle).
Before the pandemic he'd spend his weekends bargain hunting at the Redwood Flea Market, asking sellers his signature phrase “Is that the best you can do?” Friends and neighbors knew that they could call on him at any time to troubleshoot or fix anything, often devising creative solutions. He will be greatly missed by many.
